Our 2-Day Corporate Venturing programs

provide key principles and approaches to corporate venturing. Great for executives that want to enhance their corporate venturing approach, the program gives a framework and offers insights and shared learning. Executives who have been venturing for some time have used these programs as an opportunity to broaden their understanding of venturing, and consider new geographies & sectors with peers from other leading organizations.

Andrew Gaule
GCV Academy

Andrew for over 15 years has been advising and working with leading corporates to set up Corporate Venturing and Open Innovation programs. Andrew is working in a range of strategic programs in corporates, building team capabilities, supporting drive of new ventures and building Innovative New Value ChainsTM in corporates in Europe, USA and Asia in the advisory firm, Aimava.

Marcin Hejka
Intel Capital

Marcin is responsible for Intel Capital’s investment and M&A activities in Greater Europe and India. Marcin joined Intel Capital in 1999 and is a voting member of Intel Capital’s investment committee. Prior to Intel Capital Marcin was Investment Director at the Poland Growth Fund (1995-1999), Resident Polish Specialist at Banexi (1993) and Financial Analyst at Paribas Capital Markets Group (1990). Between 2004 and 2011 Marcin was also Vice President of the Polish Venture Capital and Private Equity Association the largest industry association in Central Eastern Europe. He has had board roles in many more organisations.  Marcin has an MA in Economics from the University of Gdansk.

Rafał Dziedzic
Bird & Bird

Rafał specialises in mergers and acquisitions, as well as in private equity transactions, financial law, and operations on the public market.

Partner and Head of the Corporate team at Bird & Bird’s Warsaw office.

Rafał has almost 20 years of experience covering the whole range of corporate and M&A work, including conducting share sale transactions, transactions on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and privatisations, asset sales, divestitures, joint ventures, investment agreements, and resolving shareholders’ conflicts. In recent years, Rafał was involved in some of the most prestigious M&A deals. He has been a member of the Warsaw Bar since 2003. Leading lawyer according to ILFR1000: Corporate and M&A (2017). Kuba Ruiz who is head of the digital team at Bird & Bird will join Rafał.

Jakob Wirbatz
Evonik Ventures

Jakob is an Investment Director at Evonik Venture Capital. Prior to joining Evonik, Jakob was a Partner of WEITNAUER, a law firm focused on M&A and venture capital transactions. From 2001 he worked as Legal Counsel and Investment Manager at the management company of MVV Energie’s corporate venture capital fund, previously having been part of the team that structured and established the fund. He studied law at the Universities of Heidelberg, Germany and Vienna, Austria. Jakob was admitted to the Heidelberg bar in 2005. Since 2011 Jakob is a member of the supervisory board of Sempact, a start-up company specialized in energy efficiency.

Paul Morris
DIT

Paul has over 20 years of Corporate Venture Capital experience. He set up the CVC unit of Dow Chemical Europe in 1996 and ran this for 15 years. During this time he made over 50 investments across all sectors, comprising direct deals in start-ups and VC fund Limited Partner positions. He interacted with a broad range of syndicate partners in attending over 300 portfolio company board meetings. Paul now leads the CV efforts of UK government DIT and interacts with over 100 CV units globally.
