Lee is responsible for building collaborative relationships with leading Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) organizations to better support our portfolio companies with the best co-investors to accelerate growth.
From 2007 to 2017, Lee led Intel Capital’s worldwide Portfolio Business Development organization, responsible for marketing, press, information services, business development and events for Intel Capital. This team provides operational and strategic support to grow business for Portfolio Companies and Intel Capital through customer introductions, networking events such as Intel Capital Technology Days (ITDs) and the annual Global Summit, press coverage, and marketing events designed to generate business opportunities for our start-ups and increase deal flow for Intel Capital. Lee and his team developed strategic relationships with portfolio companies, customers and service providers to support Intel Capital’s portfolio of ~400 companies. During this time, Intel Capital invested $300M–$500M per year in over 100 new and follow on investments annually. Approximately 300 portfolio companies were acquired or had an IPO during this time.
Lee joined Intel in 1989 and has worked in Manufacturing, R&D and HR in the US and Asia. Lee lived in Asia for from 1995 to 2001, and he has managed teams based in Malaysia, the Philippines, Ireland, Israel and Costa Rica in Assembly and Test and Wafer Fabrication factories. Prior to Intel, Lee worked for Pepsi Cola. Lee holds a BA from Colorado College. He is based in Portland, Oregon and leads canoe expeditions to explore remote regions of Arctic Canada each summer.
